"Still alive whether we like it or not." He gives a little nod before raising the cup to his lips, making a much slower go at it than Billy. Eddie stretches his legs out beneath the table, lets his legs interlock with Billy's. This is probably not the best way to be dealing with things, but he can't imagine that it's the worst. So he reclines in his chair, tries to relax, hopes the whiskey will do some of the heavy lifting.

"You should try and eat," Eddie says after a moment, even as he reaches to refill Billy's cup. "Whiskey on an empty stomach isn't going to end well."
